Ukraine’s first emergency center to be established in Kyiv PDF Print E-mail
altUkraine’s first emergency medical aid centre will be opened by Euro-2012 on the facilities of the Oleksabdrivska clinical hospital. The Information Centre Ukraine-2012 has been informed about this by medical institution’s chief medical officer Roman Vasylyshyn.

According to Roman Vasylyshyn, all patients will pass through the centre: they will be examined and diagnosed, and consequently their further medical treatment will be instituted therapy. Emergency aid will be provided here, both at the pre-hospitalization stage and in the hospital. According to the chief medical officer, construction works are presently under way, and they are due to be completed by 1 January 2012, and then equipment will be installed.

The first patients are planned to be receive as early as on 1 March 2012. The emergency centre will be established on the facilities of the 10th cardiology building of the hospital. It will occupy the basement, the first and the second floors of the building.

The department will have new wards, operating rooms and state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment: ultrasonic scanning and X-ray equipment, CAT scanners and others.
